Just before the big party!

I am super excited for The Fourth Of July! It is my favorite holiday: rodeos, summer, relaxing, fireworks, family... basically everything I like. To make the week even more interesting, Sydney is getting her first tooth:) We are moving on to the next stage of practicing patience. Something I am sure which will be a life-long lesson.

Anyway - here are some visual highlights:

Summer in the mountains

Now that we can finally be outside for more than 20 minutes between rainstorms, I have been too busy to post. Well, that and, until this week I have been really busy working - whine, whine, whine.

In the last few weeks we've had lots of fun - like visiting Auntie Nancy and her tiny puppies (we love Barkley):
Playing dress up in the mu'umu'us that Grandma Mary sent from Hawaii:
Swinging on the ancient swing set at the Ranch (scary but this is actually an updated version from the one I was on):
and feeding carrots to Grandma Sid's horses - very fun since these horses are extremely spoiled and know exactly how to be nice to get more treats:
Now we can't wait until next week when it is the best time of the whole year - The Fourth of July! Hopefully the exciting pictures from those activities will come before the next major holiday...

Fun family time

The last week has been very busy and very fun for us. My whole family was able to be in the same place for almost 3 days. It was great! We went on a picnic to the park, hung out on Main Street and had lots of fun just laying around. Even though today doesn't really count, it is nice to have summer finally here! Today is a little cold and dreary, we'll be having soup & a movie I think...

Star Crossed Lovers

So these are the Astrology charts for Scott and I. They were a very generous gift from a friend of ours. She did one for Sydney too. It is actually pretty cool and has sparked some interesting conversations around our house lately. I still don't understand very much of it but I'm getting there. Apparently it says that I am strong on my Fire and weak on Air, while Scott is weak on Earth and strong on Air.... Sounds just like us doesn't it?

Memorial Day 2009

These are the pictures of our fun day off in the mountains. Don't worry - my infant did not actually ride on an ATV. You don't need to call social services this time. Although it was a little chilly we did have a great day out in the wilderness enjoying the view and lots of warm blankets!

inaugural post

It only took 4 years to do it - but we finally have a BLOG!! After months of negotiation, we settled on a not-so-cool-name and published our first post! If there is ANYONE in the universe that hasn't seen the cutest picture of all, then here it is. Happy Palm Sunday (and Easter)!
